What Is the Chaldean Numerology System?

Chaldean Numerology is the oldest form of name numerology as it began in Chaldea (present-day Iraq) with the ancient Babylonians. It is based on the belief that everything in the universe is both made up and affected by numbers. The Chaldeans created a unique system that can be used to derive meaning from the name of any object or person by assigning numbers to letters, and then analyzing their sum.

What Is the Chaldean Numerology Calculator?

In Chaldean numerology, the numerical value of a name or word is calculated by adding the digits associated with each letter, similar to other numerology calculators. Each of the 26 letters of the English alphabet has a number between 1 and 8 associated with it according to the table below. The number 9 is considered to be sacred, so it is not used. However, the digit 9 can still appear in the sum of numbers. Additionally, there are no master numbers in Chaldean numerology.

Our Chaldean name numerology calculator shows you the numerological value and meaning of any name or word based on the ancient Chaldean system.

How Does the Chaldean Numerology Calculator Work?

The Chaldean value can be calculated for any group of letters: a first name, a last name, or both at the same time. The calculator works for not only names, but also for things, objects, places, or even a name of a group.

As the numerical values for each letter (can be see in numerology chart above) in a name are added, the result will probably have more than one digit (double digits). If so, these can be added together until the total is reduced to a single-digit number. Each single digit has its own meaning based on Chaldean numerology.

What Is the Difference Between Chaldean Numerology And Pythagorean Numerology?

The Chaldean method and Pythagorean method are two primary systems of numerology. While the Pythagorean numerology assigns values sequentially (1-9) based on the letter's position in the alphabet and is often used to calculate life path numbers from the date of birth, the Chaldean numerology calculator assigns numerical values (1-8) to letters based on vibrational significance developed over a period of time. Some also claim that Chaldean system incorporates elements from Indian numeric math (Indian Vedic numerology), which has a rich history in numerology and mathematical studies.
